Checking in and out
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, although shorter bookings are available out of season – please contact us with your dates and we will do our best to fit you in. You can move in and start your holiday from 3pm and we ask that you leave by 10am on your last day.
Payments
A deposit of £200 per week is required to secure your booking. The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks before your stay. If you are booking within 8 weeks of your stay, we ask you to pay the full amount when booking. When you contact us with your dates we will send you all the info you need around payments and when they are due.
All gas and electricity as well as bed linen and towels used in the house are included in the cost of your stay, there are no hidden extras. Please bring your own towels for the beach.
Essentials like hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, 2xtoilet rolls and kitchen rolls are provided for your stay.
Damage Deposit
We understand that accidents happen and we won’t charge you if you chip a cup or accidentally break a glass but we do ask you to pay a refundable £150 deposit in advance to cover any damage to the property or contents or if any additional cleaning is required following your stay. Full details are included in our terms and conditions which will we will send to you before confirming your booking.
Baby Equipment
If you would like to hire a travel cot, high chair or stair gate please ask and we will be happy to help.
Smoking
Please do not smoke in the property as this would invalidate our insurance, sorry.
Pets
Sorry, we do not allow pets at No.8. Please note that dogs are not allowed on beaches in St Ives from Easter to the end of September.
Cancellation policy
Once you have confirmed your booking and we have received your deposit you are liable for the full cost of your holiday. Full details of our cancellation policy are given in our booking terms and conditions which we ask you to sign at time of booking. We strongly recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover you for unforeseen circumstances.
Parking
At the moment, there is no private parking at No.8 but you can drive up to the property to load and unload.
The large Barnoon Car Park is conveniently located only a minute’s drive away and you don’t need to drive through the harbour to reach No.8 which can sometimes be tricky! Most guests find they park up and that’s the last they see of their car for the duration of their holiday. Hello – we are Ali and Kieran Battles. We live in Bristol with twins, Eleanor and Isaac, and our ageing cat, Flower. It has always been our dream to own a holiday home in Cornwall and we are finally doing it! We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we fell in love with No.8 the first time we visited.
